The Strata collection is the result of a new collaboration with renowned architect John Pawson. Handwoven on traditional looms using the finest merino wool and cashmere, this collection of cushions combines the natural warmth of noble fibres with an architectural design defined by pure and elegant lines.
Inspired by materials often used by Pawson such as travertine, limestone, and terracotta. The Strata colour palette is presented in two tones: rosé and nature. The design plays with volumes, planes, and lines that evoke the rhythms of architecture and the natural landscapes of Oxfordshire, where the architect resides.

Origins and textile memory
In your formative years, you spent six years immersed in your family’s textile business, cultivating an instinctive appreciation for the quality of fabrics. How did that chapter shape your creative outlook and guide your career?
John Pawson: I learnt from those years – and from observing my father – that you need to be totally immersed and committed to whatever you undertake in life and that this level of immersion and commitment requires unflagging passion. I realised I did not share my devotion to the family business and I didn’t immediately find my path when I left, but I knew I had to persevere in the search until I did.
