Trama publication Bauhaus architecture issue 2

Exploring The Bauhaus movement

The Origin of Color and Form

The first issue of the TRAMA publication explores the Bauhaus movement. It is not just a design school; it is also a way of understanding the world.
It is rational, essential, and deeply human. This issue traces a journey that connects history, art, architecture, and color — from ancestral pigments to the revolutionary proposals of the 20th century.

Within its pages, it examines how Bauhaus gave color a leading role in modern design. Johannes Itten, Josef Albers, Kandinsky, and Moholy-Nagy, among others, transformed color into a tool for thought. From the color wheel to the visual synesthesia between shapes and emotions, Bauhaus turned primary colors into universal symbols of clarity, order, and expression.

Red, yellow, and blue ceased to be mere tones and became a structural language. The straight line, the square, the circle: basic elements with transformative power. The influence of the movement crosses disciplines: art, graphic design, architecture, fashion… and today, also natural fiber weaving.

Our Publication TRAMA

TRAMA is a publication by Teixidors that explores the boundaries between design, craftsmanship, and culture. It is neither a magazine nor a book: it is a living entity, a mutating editorial proposal that transforms with each issue to inspire, build connections, and evoke new questions around a central theme.

Each edition is an experiment. An unexpected journey narrated in multiple languages: photography, literature, architecture, illustration, music, and more.

Everything changes. Everything is reconsidered. Only one thing remains: the fierce curiosity that drives us.

Form, Function, and Color in Their Purest State

The first issue of TRAMA explores Bauhaus. It is not just a design school; it is a way of understanding the world. Design and 100% artisanal weaving in Terrassa (Barcelona).

Our Inspiration in the Bauhaus Movement

LABAU is a handcrafted textile collection made from 100% merino wool, inspired by rationalist architecture and the Bauhaus color palette. Its geometric design in red, yellow, blue, black, and white pays homage to Le Corbusier’s Unité d’Habitation. It turns a textile pattern into a visual manifesto of modernity.

Each throw is handwoven in Spain using traditional techniques that integrate sustainability, precision, and aesthetic sensitivity.
LABAU is not just a woven piece. It is a modern interpretation of Bauhaus values. Here, form and function combine in balance. It evokes an architecture that embraces the body and the environment. Each LABAU piece is handcrafted. Its geometric design in red, yellow, blue, black, and white honors Le Corbusier’s Unité d’Habitation.

It transforms a textile pattern into a visual manifesto of modernity that respects the environment, using natural dyes and manufacturing methods that minimize ecological impact. This not only guarantees product quality but also promotes conscious and responsible fashion.

Our merino wool blankets are versatile and adapt to different spaces, from a cozy living room to an elegant bedroom. Their soft, warm texture invites touch, creating a welcoming and stylish atmosphere.
A LABAU merino wool sofa or bed throw is more than a beautiful piece. You also acquire a story that unites art, architecture, and textile tradition.

Every color and shape in LABAU has meaning, reflecting the essence of modernity and the desire to create a space that inspires. By choosing LABAU, you join a movement that values aesthetics and functionality, celebrating the beauty of handmade and authentic creations.
